Maltol is white crystal fine powder,which has the special fragrance like cream caramel, and the dilute solution has a sweet smell like strawberry. 1gram maltol can be dissolved in 82mlwater, 21ml ethanol,81ml glycerin or 28ml propanediol. It will change red till meet the sunlight. It is a sort of fragrance synergist which has an action of improving odor, stabling odor and adding sweet.
