ICP Adhesives & Sealants recently announced that the Center for the Polyurethanes Industry of the American Chemistry Council has awarded Andrew Shinko, Ph.D., R&D chemist, with a Best of Presentation award for his paper “The Use of HFO-1234 ze (E) in Low Pressure Spray Polyurethane Foam,” at the Polyurethanes Technical Conference held September 26-28 in Baltimore.

Shinko reportedly presented ICP Adhesives & Sealants’ work that represents advances in the development of low global warming potential (LGWP) products, in accordance with the EPA’s recent SNAP 21 ruling. The Handi-Foam High Density product reportedly will be the first commercially available low-pressure, two-component polyurethane spray foam disposable kit containing a hydrofluoroolefin (Solstice® GBA) as a blowing agent. The product will reportedly be commercially available in the first quarter of 2017.
