Domestic Titanium Dioxide Market
The domestic titanium dioxide market in China kept rising this week, most producers raised prices of titanium dioxide by ￥700-1000/tonne in average. Since the Chinese Spring Festival is coming, new contracts in China titanium dioxide market are less and most producers are handling previous signed contracts. Therefore, most participants in the industry think the price hike was preparing for the new contracts after the festival and sending more confidence to the upstream and downstream players.
According to sources, although some of the major titanium dioxide producers are not inclined to stop operation during the Spring Festival, most minor producers have maintenance plans because of tight supply and high prices of raw materials. It is foreseen that the domestic titanium dioxide market will keep warm and the tight supply of titanium dioxide products will continue, especially anatase titanium dioxide.
