Domestic Titanium Dioxide Market
The domestic titanium dioxide market still remained warm in the beginning of December. Except for the producers of anatase titanium dioxide which has been raising prices continuously in the previous months, the producers of rutile titanium dioxide announced price initials again this week. The price increases were normally ￥500-1000/tonne.
Currently most titanium dioxide producers are firmer in executing prices. The main contract prices of rutile titanium dioxide are ￥13600-14800/tonne, while prices of anatase titanium dioxide raised a lot to ￥11500-12500/tonne.
According to sources, the main reasons for the tight spot supply of domestic titanium dioxide market are as following: the depreciation of RMB recently gave advantages to export situations; the downstream buyers and traders have prepared inventory; prices of raw materials have risen continuously and the price initials of Cristal also pushes the price hike.
The current prices of titanium dioxide (December 2): Lomon (R-966), CNY14300-14600 ($2193-2239) per metric ton; Main market price (Rutile Tio2), CNY13600-14800 ($1974-2148) per metric ton; First class manufacturers (Rutile Tio2), CNY14200-14800 ($2061-2148) per metric ton; Second class manufacturers (Rutile Tio2), CNY13600-14200 ($1974-2061) per metric ton; Main market price (Anatase Tio2), CNY11500-12500 ($1669-1814) per metric ton.
