Domestic Titanium Dioxide Market
The prices of TiO2 in domestic titanium dioxide market were still firm in this week, due to decreasing demands in Northern China. Many producers of TiO2 were shut down temporally because of bad weather and environmental inspections. But there are still many producers tight in spot supply which may keep the domestic TiO2 market firm for a while, especially for anatase titanium dioxide. This tight supply condition may ease in the beginning of next month.
Currently most titanium dioxide producers are firmer in executing prices. The main contract prices of rutile titanium dioxide are ￥14500-15500/tonne ($2104-2250), while prices of anatase titanium dioxide raised a lot to ￥12500-13500/tonne ($1814-1959).
According to sources, some of the titanium dioxide producers in the west Panzhihua area that have been shut down in producing have recovered from the temporally shut down and began producing. The domestic titanium dioxide market will keep firm and steady if there is no further issues occurring. The most important factors that may influence the domestic titanium dioxide market in the near future are the prices of ilmenite and the uncertainty of environmental inspections.
