About Oskar Nolte
Oskar Nolte is a manufacturer of industrial wood varnish systems for wood-based panels. These are supplied to major customers in the furniture and furniture supplier industry. The film coatings business is one of Nolte's strategic growth areas. The film coatings business was acquired by Akzo Nobel in 2016 from BASF Coatings as part of the acquisition of the industrial coatings business.
Film coatings comprise technologically advanced coatings on plastic and paper substrates that are cured thermally or by radiation. Major global customers have been supplied with these coatings for years. These coatings are used to finish foils and pre-impregnated materials, which are then used in the furniture and door industry.
