FIE 2017, started on Nov.28, 2017 came to a successful end last week. The three-day event had welcomed over 1,500 world-class ingredient manufacturers, and over 25,000 visitors from 145 countries in an exhibition area of 65,000 square metres.
It offered all of us in the F&B industry an invaluable opportunity to see the newest product innovations and taste the most diverse and innovative ingredients used in bread, chocolates, candies, crisps, ice creams, and various drinks, etc.
Flagship exhibitors in FIE 2017 included global powerhouses such as ADM, BENEO, Cargill, DSM, Symrise, etc., and also the leading European food and beverage manufacturers such as Barry Callebaut and Lactalis.
With a surge in demand for healthier food ingredients over the last few years, consumers are now more concerned about the impact of the food on their bodies, according to the Dr. Alexander Lichter, Sales Director Flavor EAME at Symrise. And in this exhibition, clean labels, organic & natural ingredients, and sustainable solutions were particularly welcomed.
Besides the ingredients we could actually eat, in FIE 2017 we could also saw the cutting-edge innovations in food processing and packaging, and a wide range of services for this industry.
At booth 11.0A52, OKCHEM provided I.Q. MiniOffice, a full package of services in the food ingredients industry on from sourcing and screening top level ingredients suppliers to monitoring production & shipping. Daniel F. Smith, one senior consultant for the ingredients supply chain, came to our booth and said the services we provided would be the future trend and looked forward to our further cooperation.
If you had missed out this opportunity to see all these innovative products and services, please make sure to join us in the next FIE, which will be held in Paris, France in 2019 (3-5 December).
