With the increasing environmental awareness and upgrading of traditional industries, traditional printing and dyeing industry is facing unprecedented challenges.
The printing and dyeing industry is high energy-consuming, high-polluting and labor-intensive. At present, the wastewater from textile printing and dyeing industry is one of the major pollution sources in China's industrial systems and has caused severe damages to the environment. In recent years, China has stepped up efforts to control the environmental pollution, the traditional printing and dyeing industry with high pollution and emissions is also included on the list of governance. Besides, rising labor costs also have brought some impacts to the printing and dyeing industry. So it is very urgent to tackle the root cause of the problems.
According to the 13th Five-Year Plan on the development of the textile machinery, intellectualization of printing and dyeing equipment will be a tendency in this industry. And it is suggested that new and high technologies be employed to reform the production technology and management model, increase the production efficiency and save resources. In the meantime, the digital monitoring system and printing workshop shall be set up to achieve comprehensive monitoring and automatic control to the entire printing and dyeing process, including mechanical and technological parameters, energy consumption and process quality, and thus to realize the intelligent, energy-saving, pollution-free, and emission-free dyeing and printing process accordingly.
