China’s adhesive industry in 2009-2017
Adhesive, also known as glue, cement, mucilage, or paste, is a non-metallic substance applied to one surface, or both surfaces of two separate items that binds them together and resists their separation. Adhesive can be divided into solvent adhesive, water radical adhesive, hot frit adhesive and reactive adhesive according to the chemical component and solidification forms.
Along with the rapid development of science technology and national economy, adhesive is widely applied in various domains such as wood processing, architectural engineering, textile printing and dyeing, aerospace, biomedical, shoemaking, etc.
In China, adhesive production has increased rapidly continuously since 2009. It has reached 7,962,000 tons in 2017, increasing by 8.49% from a year earlier.
In 2017, china's adhesive consumption quantity was 7,880,000 tons, increasing by 9.29% from 2016.
Besides, adhesive sales volume has also increased year by year from 2009 to 2017. It has reached 98.78 billion Yuan in 2017, increasing by 10.1% from 2016.
China's adhesive are mainly used in building, packaging and wood work, which account for 28,70%, 21.10% and 13.80% respectively.
In 2019, as the public pay more attentions to the environmental protection, environmentally friendly adhesive will become mainstream. Nanometer technology will be popular generally. In general, adhesive industry will realize scale and intensive development in the future.
