According to the latest data released by China Customs, China has exported a total of 46,635,061 KG PVC, and imported a total of 56,095,996 KG PVC in April 2019. The PVC market in China has shifted from net exports to net imports due to the high domestic prices.

 

PVC Export


The PVC export in April has seen a month-on-month decrease of 32.92% and year-on-year decrease of 33.97%. The reason for the decreased export quantity in April is that the domestic price remains high and most of the enterprises supply to the domestic market.


Middle East, India and Southeast Asia are still the major markets for China’s PVC exports in April. And Uzbekistan, India and Russia are the top 3 PVC importers from China, with the import weight at 6,541,000KG, 6,286,580KG, and 5,526,600KG respectively.

PVC Import 


United States, Taiwan (China), and Japan are the top 3 PVC exporters to China, with the trade quantity at 24,238,107KG, 14,092,001KG and 9,488,913KG, accounting for 43.2%, 25.1% and 16.9% respectively in the total PVC import in April.


The PVC import in April has seen a month-on-month decrease of 16.24% and year-on-year increase of 11.34%. The market is still dominated by imported materials processing, accounting for 89%, and the general trade volume increased to 5,563 MT from 3,801MT in March. The increase of general trade volume was mainly due to the low foreign prices in the early stage, and the imports of Thailand, Europe and Brazil without anti-dumping duties have successively arrived.
