On May 17, 2021, in Shanghai, Xinjiang Weigerui Biotechnology Co., Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of Xinjiang Blue Ridge Tunhe Polyester Co., Ltd) officially signed the EPC general contact with Wison Engineering (Stock code: 2236.HK) to produce 200kt PBAT and 40kt PBS per year.

The construction period of the project is expected to be 24 months. After the launch of the project, Xinjiang Tunhe is expected to be the No. 1 producer of PBAT both domestically in China and even globally.
